The hearing took place in the presence of the President of the National Assembly of Senegal, Amadou Mame Diop, and the Ambassador of His Majesty the King to Senegal, Hassan Naciri.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Talbi El Alami praised the excellence of relations between Morocco and Senegal, under the enlightened leadership of the two Heads of State, HM King Mohammed VI and President Macky Sall, stressing that these secular and millennial ties between the two countries are called upon to be further consolidated at all levels.
This audience was an opportunity to express the gratitude, appreciation and thanks of the Moroccan people for the support provided by Senegal to the issue of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, he added.
Furthermore, Mr. Talbi Alami praised the development that Senegal is experiencing in terms of infrastructure, as well as the stability and social cohesion that the country enjoys, noting that these achievements are the fruit of wisdom and political maturity, which has made it possible to maintain political stability.
The meeting was also an opportunity to congratulate the Senegalese president for his efforts and his defense of Africa’s interests during his presidency of the African Union during the last term, said Mr. Talbi El Alami, who was accompanied by a delegation composed of Mr. Ahmed Touizi, president of the Authenticity and Modernity group, Abderrahim Chahid, president of the Socialist group, Chaoui Belassal, president of the Constitutional Democratic and Social group, and Rachid Hamouni, president of the Progress and Socialism group.
At the end of this audience, President Macky Sall decorated Mr. Talbi El Alami with the medal of Commander of the National Order of the Lion, while Messrs. Ahmed Touizi, Abderrahim Chahid, Chaoui Belassal and Rachid Hamouni were elevated to the rank of officers in the National Order of the Lion.
This working visit by Mr. Talbi El Alami was marked by the signing of a parliamentary cooperation protocol between the House of Representatives and the National Assembly of Senegal.
