A man has been charged with murdering two men after human remains were found in London and Bristol.
Jostin Andres Mosquera, 34, of Scotts Road, Shepherds Bush, was arrested in Bristol in the early hours of Saturday.
The remains were found in suitcases on the Clifton Suspension Bridge on Wednesday and more remains were found at an address in Scotts Road on Friday.
The names of the two victims are now clear – 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71-year-old Paul Longworth.
They were previously in a relationship and still lived together in the Scotts Road flat.
No other people are wanted
Both victims were known to the arrested man and he had stayed with them in their flat for a short period of time, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
Paul Longworth is British and Albert Alphonso is a French native with British citizenship.
Evidence so far in the investigation does not point to a homophobic motive, police said, but the case is still being classified as a hate crime.
This will be reviewed if clearer evidence emerges, police added, and officers are also working to establish whether there are any related crimes or incidents in the UK or abroad to “build a full picture of the circumstances”.
“I hope to reassure you that although the investigation is still ongoing and at a relatively early stage, we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the two murders,” police said.
Justin Andres Mosquera will appear in the Wimbledon Magistrate’s Court, writes bTV.
