Former US presidential candidate Donald Trump has announced his running mate for vice president if he wins the November election, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance.

“I have decided that the person most deserving of the office of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the great state of Ohio,” Trump wrote on the Truth website.
“J.D. served our country honorably in the Marine Corps, graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University in two years, and is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he was editor of the Yale Law Review and president of the Yale Veterans Association. J.D.’s book, Hillbilly Elegy, became a bestseller and a movie, as he championed the hardworking men and women of our country.”
“J.D. Vance has had a very successful career in technology and finance, and now, during the campaign, he will focus strongly on the people he fought so hard for: American workers and farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, America and beyond,” Trump said.
