Between music and dance, the Flower Fair kicks off in AO

With workshops, shows musicales and exhibitions, the Flower Fair returns to the La Bombilla Parkin the Alvaro Obregon Mayor’s Office.

For its 167th edition, Mayor Lía Limón announced that “for this edition we have surprises for you, 12 massive events for you to enjoy with your families.”

The mayor assured that artists such as Bobby Pulido, Playa Limbo, Los Askis and Rayito Colombiano will attend the fair.

He also highlighted that “for the first time we included a comedy show with Alexis “egg eyes”.

He stressed the importance of maintaining the tradition of the Flower Fair, recalling that it had to be suspended during the pandemic.

“Two years ago we promised to rescue the Flower Fair. The care of this fair had been lost, so we decided to grow and take care of this event, the oldest fair in the city.”

Lía Limón thanked her team and the various institutions that supported the event for their efforts.

“In recent years we have managed to bring the fair back to life and make it visited not only by residents of Álvaro Obregón, but by all residents of the city and even tourists.”

The inaugural event was also attended by figures such as Margarita Zavala, Luisa Gutierrez and Marta Villaseñor, president of the board of trustees of the Flower Fair, who spoke about the history of this tradition and thanked Mayor Lía Limón for her support in holding the event.

This fair “must continue to be the song of life,” concluded the mayor, giving way to music and dance by Rayito Colombiano and Playa Limbo.
