The Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) awarded a contract to the company Intman SA de CV for the purchase of five thousand rocket launchers, usually used in war, but which will be used to combat the organized crime.

This company won the contest by restricted invitation and will be the supplier of these assembled supplies, the purchase amount of which involves 269 ​​million pesos.

The tender ruling sets an exchange rate of 18.5248 pesos per dollarand the contract will be assigned by 14 million 523 thousand 200 dollars.

The details indicate that such weapons must be portable, with integrated ammunition, a weight of six kilos, a penetration power of 300 millimeters in steel, with a maximum range of 500 meters and an effective distance of 150 meters.

They must also be equipped with optical sights and a safety device against accidental activation and must be delivered in individual, sturdy plastic cases.

The delivery of said weapons will be in the General War Materials Warehouses and in case of importing from another country, the Army suggests that they arrive at the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA).

The supplier must ensure that the rocket launchers have “the certifications and manufacturing standards of their country of origin.”
