Trump made a dramatic entrance on the first night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday amid chants of “USA!” and “fight back!” Lee Greenwood played “Proud to be an American” as Trump entered the convention hall.
The politician made his way to the hall box, where he joined several prominent Republicans, including Tucker Carlson, who interviewed Vladimir Putin, Congressman Byron Donald, and JD Vance, who has been announced as a vice presidential candidate.
Trump’s appearance came after a number of speakers called Trump the “founding father” of the America First movement.

Far-right Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene made direct reference to Saturday’s assassination attempt on Trump during her speech.

But much of his speech focused on his personal story and rising prices, in keeping with the theme of Monday’s convention, “Make America Rich Again.”
“Food prices have skyrocketed, gas prices have nearly doubled, factories like the one I worked at are closing, leaving North Carolina families feeling desperate.
“Democrats have given away hundreds of billions of dollars to illegals and foreign nations, and Gen Z has to buckle down, and it’s just so they can never own a house, never get married and work until they die,” said Republican Charlie Kirk, who is the director of Turning Founder of Points USA.
The evening also featured a selection of “ordinary Americans” who spoke first-hand about how Mr. Biden’s policies have hurt them.
Several speakers also pointed to LGBTQ issues and immigration as crucial issues.
The speeches underscored Republicans’ confidence heading into the final round of the election and outlined how Republicans plan to make the choice between Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump meaningful.
“We don’t need to imagine a brighter day, we just need to remember,” Republican Congressman John James of Michigan said in his speech.
