Well-known political figures of PASOK and in fact with positions in the central mechanism, are among the members of the circle of extortionists in the Municipality of Athens.
One is I. P. who is a member of the Political Council of PASOK, a member of the Executive Committee of ADEDY, secretary of the General Council of the WTO Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former president of the WTO Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The second is G. V. PASOK’s deputy secretary of the culture sector and president of the unified association of employees of the Ministry of Attica Mainland and Islands.
The PASOK-Movement for Change Ethics Committee announced the suspension of party status.
“Due to their alleged involvement in a criminal case, which saw the light of day, the Ethics, Statute and Certification Committee suspended the party status of two members of PASOK-Movement for Change, whom it informed accordingly, until the end of the criminal proceedings.”
The revelation is expected to cause political reactions as well, while the PASOK Statute and Certification Ethics Committee suspended their party status as soon as it became known that the party members were involved in the spiral that extorted shopkeepers.
The participation of the well-known PASOK executives in the blackmailer’s spiral will also cause political reactions, as reports claim that the two executives are close to Nikos Androulakis. But the use of the case in the intra-party conflict and the exploitation of the case by Mr. Androulakis’s opponents cannot be ruled out as a boomerang in the end.
It is noted that the spiral blackmailed shopkeepers in the city center so that its members could reap financial benefits.
Dozens of people participated in the spiral, with the authorities proceeding to arrest 14 people, while a total of 22 people have been charged, the vast majority of them employees of the municipality of Athens.
