Shannen Doherty spent her final weeks enduring the “toughest time” she had ever experienced due to cancer.
The ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ actress lost her long battle with the disease on Saturday, June 1, and told her friend Katherine Heigl, 45, in late June that she was living hell with the disease.
Shannen was aware that medical protocols would stop working and it was only a matter of time before she waited. On the other hand, she added that she was living one of the most difficult moments of her life. She also revealed what her last wish was.
“I want my remains to be mixed with those of my dog and my father. I don’t want to be buried nor do I want to be cremated,” she added.
As for her funeral, Shannen Doherty was clear: “There are a lot of people who I think would show up, but I don’t want them to be there. The reasons for showing up aren’t necessarily the best, like they don’t really like me. I hate fakery. They have their reasons and it may be good for them, but they don’t really like me enough to show up there,” she continued.
“They will do it because it is politically correct and they don’t want to lose face. And that’s why I want to take that pressure off them. I want my funeral to be like a celebration of love,” she insisted. The singer rejected death as “a hard ordeal”: “I don’t want people to cry or to say in private: ‘Thank God, that bitch is already dead.’”
