While Apple has yet to release iOS 18, the company has already begun work on iOS 19 and other OS updates scheduled for 2025.
As reported by Day.Az with reference to Gazeta.ru, this was reported in his newsletter Power On by the famous insider and correspondent of the Bloomberg publication Mark Gurman.
According to him, Apple has officially started working on the major operating systems of 2025. While such an early start to development may seem surprising, Gurman points out that such a schedule is a common practice for Apple. In addition, he said that iOS 19 is being developed under the code name Luck, macOS 16 – Cheer, watchOS 12 – Nepali, and VisionOS 3 – Discovery. What innovations the developers are planning for future updates remains unknown.
Regarding iOS 18, the first beta version of which was received by app developers after the WWDC 2024 presentation. In the middle of this month, the second beta version of iOS 18 was released for developers. The first public beta version of the OS should become available for download in the coming weeks. Distribution of the final version of iOS 18 will begin in the fall, simultaneously with the launch of the new iPhones.
