A round table on the topic of “Transition to green energy in Azerbaijan” was held at the country’s Ministry of Energy with the participation of Deputy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov, Azerbaijani experts and the Energy Security Administration and Net Zero of the UK.
Day.Az reports this with reference to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
“During the round table, UK representatives were informed about the current situation in the field of renewable energy sources (RES), decarbonization, energy efficiency, strengthening of power grids, current projects being implemented in Azerbaijan, cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK in the field of RES, especially in terms of the production of “green” hydrogen,” the statement said.
The event was attended by employees of the Ministry of Energy, the State Agency for Renewable Energy under the Ministry, the Energy Regulatory Agency under the Ministry, as well as representatives of Azerenergy OJSC, Azerishig OJSC, SOCAR and bp.
