The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, began receiving the delegations participating in the “Mediterranean Migration” Forum in the capital, Tripoli.
Today, the Libyan capital, Tripoli, is hosting the activities of the “Migration Across the Mediterranean” Forum, under the slogan “Enhancing Integrated Border Security and Management and the Libyan State’s Vision for Addressing the Illegal Immigration File.”
The forum will be launched with the participation of several European countries and international organizations. Representatives of African and European governments, in addition to international organizations concerned with migration and human rights, are expected to participate in the forum.
Participants will address several issues, including improving border management, strengthening rescue and relief mechanisms for migrants, and providing the necessary support to countries receiving migrants.
The forum also aims to discuss common challenges and develop practical solutions that contribute to reducing illegal immigration across the Mediterranean and enhancing cooperation between African and European countries to achieve greater stability in the region.
