Al-Manfi holds talks with Chadian President and Maltese Prime Minister

The head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, held bilateral talks with the President of the Republic of Chad, “Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno.”

The two presidents reviewed “the progress of work and cooperation between the two countries and the strengthening and development of bilateral relations in a way that serves the two brotherly peoples, in addition to continuing consultations between them in regional and international forums.”

Mohammed Al-Manfi also received the Maltese Prime Minister, Robert Abela, and the meeting discussed aspects of joint bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance and develop it in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.

Al-Nafi stressed that “Malta is a strategic partner of Libya in all fields, and that the aim of our meeting is to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, and enhance cooperation in the fields of health, economy, education, combating illegal immigration, organized crime, and combating terrorism,” wishing “the success of the Mediterranean Migration Conference that will be held tomorrow, Wednesday.”

The Maltese Prime Minister praised “the President’s pivotal role in international forums for his interest in the files of illegal immigration, organized crime and ways to combat them,” stressing that “Malta will be a voice on behalf of Libya in the European Union to reduce the phenomenon of immigration.”
