Karol G will sing Colombia’s national anthem at the Copa América 2024 final tonight (Sunday, July 14), while Abel Pintos will sing Argentina’s anthem. Their performances will precede Shakira’s half-time show at the match between Argentina and Colombia in Miami.
Although the appearance of Karol G seems like a surprise, the Colombian star confirmed the news in a quick chat with Noticias RCN on Sunday evening at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where she was sitting with Feid.
A few hours before the event, videos of Karol practicing at the stadium on Sunday also started circulating on social networks.
Shakira will play for the first time in the final of the oldest international soccer tournament in the world. It is expected to appear immediately after the first half of the game.
The Copa América 2024 final is scheduled to begin at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT.
