Javier Hidalgo Ponce, general coordinator of Pillarsand Juan Pablo Eiroa, general director of Uber Mexicomet to present the start of a collaborative agreement that will allow graduates of the Code Schools develop their knowledge and skills.
Hidalgo Ponce explained that the Code Schools are one of the branches that are taught in 150 Points of Innovation, Freedom, Art, Education and Knowledge (Pillars)which offer programming knowledge in Java and Pentium, with studies lasting six to eight months and which so far have 5,000 graduates.

“We agreed with Uber, which is a company, a technological platform, that could absorb through mentoring some of the graduates and that they could incorporate them into their activitylet’s say first of knowledge,” explained the general coordinator of Pilares, who added that although it is not a labor agreement, he hopes that the opportunity can be given once the participation period has concluded.
For the selection of participants, Hidalgo Ponce explained, 20 distinguished students were selectedmostly young people, although they also include an engineer and a high school graduate.
He also explained that the signing of the agreement took place three months ago and that today the result is materialized with the incorporation of the first 10 participants to the mentoring sessions for a period of three months, while the remaining graduates will join to participate in the second three months, thus having a total program duration of six months.

For his part, Juan Pablo Eiroa, said that the choice to look at Pilares was due to the fact that the work they are doing “is fantastic”, That’s why Uber is seeking to support the cause.
“We believe that, as a company, It is very important to help the graduates of the Code School They can put into practice what they have learned in theory, and they can use the name that they had a mentorship at Uber to continue their professional career,” Eiroa explained to 24 HORAS.
The company will provide the program participants with all the materials they will require, as well as support for their travel over the three months to attend the facilities, where they will participate in various activities and meetings, as well as in the development of real projects and with the providing different perspectives that allow us to solve problems.
