The central bank has revised the price of commemorative gold coins by increasing them. Each commemorative gold coin has been increased by Tk 10,000 due to the rise in gold prices in the international and local markets. As per the new price, each commemorative gold coin is priced at Tk 1 lakh 5 thousand. Today the price of these gold coins was 95 thousand rupees. Bangladesh Bank said that the new prices will be effective from July 18.

This information was informed by the Department of Currency Management of Bangladesh Bank on Tuesday (July 16).

According to the information, the price of commemorative gold coins printed by Bangladesh Bank titled ‘International Mother Language Day-2000’, ‘Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman 1920-2020’ and ‘Golden Jubilee of Independence 1971-2021’ has been revised.

The price of gold coins has been increased due to increase in the price of gold in the international and local markets. Which will be effective from July 18.

It should be noted that currently, in the country, one lakh 20 thousand taka has to be paid for every 22 carat gold.
