The Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) reported the arrest of Antonio Guadalupe Perez Dominguez, The Scorpion 17, leader of Gulf Cartel cells.
In a statement, Sedena reported that the arrest of El Escorpión 17 occurred in Madero City, Tamaulipason Tuesday, July 16, in the middle of an operation in Miramar beach.

After the arrest of El Escorpión 17, Antonio Guadalupe Pérez Domínguez, also known as El Apa and/or Antonio Casanova, was transferred to a maximum security prison.
