Gold prices rise in Baghdad and stabilize in Erbil

/ The prices of Iraqi and foreign gold rose in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, on Monday, while they stabilized in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning a selling price for one mithqal of 21 karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold of 430 thousand dinars, and a purchase price of 426 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21-karat Iraqi gold was recorded at 400 thousand dinars, and the purchase price was 396 thousand.

As for gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a mithqal of 21-karat Gulf gold ranges between 435,000 and 445,000 dinars, while the selling price of a mithqal of Iraqi gold ranges between 405,000 and 415,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of a mithqal of 24 karat gold was recorded at 500 thousand dinars, a selling price of 21 karat gold was 440 thousand dinars, and a selling price of 18 karat gold was 380 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
