Lionel Messi left a moving image in the Copa América final against Colombia, played this Sunday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The Argentina star was inconsolable, unable to hold back his tears, after being substituted due to injury in the second half.
The captain of the albiceleste team arrived at the game suffering from physical discomfort during the competition and was in doubt for the match.
In the first half, a hit with Santiago Arias almost took him out of the game in the early part. The Argentine stood up to the blow, but was seriously injured at half-time.
In the second half, however, Messi did not give more and, although he passed the hour mark in the game, he injured himself in a race.
Lionel Messi tried to stay on the field, but ended up leaving the field in tears and a lot of sadness.
Number 10 could not stop crying, as this final was his last Copa América game. The 10 wants to continue for the 2026 World Cup, which would mean he would be retiring from the Argentina team.
