Since the beginning of this year, 75 new employees have been employed in the companies of the VMG group – 15 of them in the industrial robotization and artificial intelligence solutions company “VMG Technics” operating in Klaipėda, and another 60 in the factories operating in the Akmene SEZ.
According to VMG Group Personnel Director Raimonda Mačiulskienė, the rapidly developing industrial infrastructure that creates significant added value for Lithuania in the Akmenė SEZ and coastal zone will continue to increase the demand for specialists.
“It is not easy to compete with big cities and attract employees to the region. Understanding this, we are ready to provide working conditions that meet their expectations, experience and knowledge. As well as all social guarantees, competitive wages, a wide benefits package – from transport, meals to health insurance. It is also important that the average salary of our employees has increased by 16% in the past year alone,” says R. Mačiulskienė.
We are looking for specialists in various fields
Having hired 75 new employees in the first half of the year, the group of companies plans to hire over 100 more employees in the companies operating in the Akmene SEZ by the end of the year.
In the furniture and chipboard factories operating here, as well as in the sustainable building materials factory managed together with partners, production operators, electricians – automatics and locksmiths – repairmen are most wanted.
Engineers and constructors are most sought after in Klaipėda district, industrial innovation park “VMG Technics R&D Park”, where robotization, automation, artificial intelligence solution development and production units operate.
Together with its partners, VMG Group has invested a total of more than half a billion euros in the investment projects developed in the Akmene SEZ. Two new factories were opened here last year. This is a modern cabinet furniture factory “VMG Akmenės baldai”, where it is planned to produce 60 million units per year. products worth EUR.
Also, together with partners, the sustainable construction and renovation construction factory “VMG Lignum construction” was opened, which is the first factory of this type in the Baltic States and only the third in Europe. The annual sales of the production of the latter factory should reach up to 150 million euros.
By the end of this year, a total of 150 jobs will be created in the biggest innovation park in the Baltic States, VMG Technics R&D Park, which is being developed in Klaipėda district, and the total amount of investment in the project will exceed 30 million. euros.
The company’s companies in Lithuania and Poland employ a total of about 3,000 employees. 90 percent the company’s products are exported to more than 40 countries around the world.
