“Fire” Margariti against Diamantopoulos: “Last year’s sour grapes”

by time news

An attack against Anna Diamantopoulou, launched by a member of the PASOK Political Council, Theodore Margaritis by posting it on social media.

In particular, shortly after the official announcement of the candidacy of Anna Diamantopoulos, Thodoros Margaritis spoke of a “chronic absence” from the party.

In more detail in his post he says “Anna Diamantopoulou’s candidacy as president of PASOK/KINAL was not expected. This particular politician does not belong to the new generation of executives. It was through many offices in the past and logically there would be no other claim. So, it looks surprising. I understand the reactions of many friends because she was not present during the difficult years of PASOK, she did not live the daily life of the area. (The one I know from September 2015). It’s just a very important party from the last “fat cow” era.

I recognize that he has a strong political sense. Therefore, this candidacy presents PASOK/KINAL with serious strategic dilemmas. As there is no place for half words and flourish. I hear the argument about a “prime minister” profile. The question is which political direction? For example, her criticism of the ND tended to have a corrective and complementary character.

So the problem lies at the heart of the comments about the candidature. In this version of Center no progress. Last year’s sour grapes – I would say – from another era. Because today the version of the Center has all been lost since we have excellent associations. The famous theory that income can only be redistributed when the pie has grown for everyone is invalid in practice. Because even when the pie grows, the haves and holders “eat” all. This is the reality. The problems are therefore endless.

Will the Center-Left express social policies or will it express the theories of the economic elite? Will it address social inequalities? Will she have a social combat conscience or will she pretend to be a little red riding hood in the forest?

Will he make it clear that there is no likelihood of government collaboration with the ND?

Will he remember the historical past of PASOK that paid attention to the common classes or will he agree with the social breach of PASOK from those government policies that have lost the popular strata and the middle class?

A. Diamantopoulou’s announcements include references to this agenda. It makes sense at the start of an election campaign. Logical, when we are talking about the head of the Socialist party! But how determined can they be when the political footprints in this direction have been missing for a long time? Almost “opposite role”.

The point is not to talk about inequality without talking about capitalism. Criticism of predatory financial capitalism cannot be a strange thing from the past. You can’t help but refer to the control classes. The phenomena of inequality are not weather phenomena. They are aspects of class conflict. And from that comes the strategic choice for an alternative solution for the government of the Right. Unless we want to talk because we are playing “tea with sympathy”.

In Southern Europe the Socialist parties are looking for a more progressive position. In our country, however, we are facing a serious neoliberal attack. This is the infamous “ordinary”. And there is no room for consent here. In life conflict is not always a useful thing. But there are times when politics is meaningless without conflict. And now we are facing such a situation”.
