Marco Rubioa Cuban-born senator from Florida, expressed his support for the newly nominated vice president JD Vance ahead of the presidential elections to be held on November 5 in the United States.

Rubio, who was on the list of possible vice presidential candidates, said he would go wherever Republican nominee Donald Trump asks him to go.

“It is a very good team, very intelligent. The people will be very impressed with it.”he claimed Marco Rubio about Vance in statements to EFE during the Republican National Convention that is being held in Milwaukee from Monday to Thursday.

This comes after Republican candidate Donald Trump announced that he had chosen the Ohio senator as his running mate. In this regard, the Cuban-born senator expressed his conviction that Vance will be able to win votes in the “key states” of the Midwest of the country.

He added that “his life story will help a lot.” Vance is a former Marine and his autobiography, which tells a story of personal growth from a poor family, was a best-seller.

Rubio was asked if he is interested in being part of a second Trump administration if he were to win the next election, to which the Florida senator responded: “We are thinking about the campaign and whatever they ask me to do, we will do it.”

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is a Cuban-born politician who until the last minute was considered a possible Republican vice presidential candidate. If this had been the case, Rubio would have been the first Hispanic politician in the White House.

One of the reasons he was ruled out is that the Constitution prohibits presidential and vice presidential candidates from the same party from residing in the same state, and Trump and Rubio live in Florida.

Another senator from Florida, fellow Republican Rick Scott, said Vance was “a great choice” because he had “a tough childhood” and is “a good speaker”: “Marco is a good friend. JD is also a good friend. Both were a good choice,” he said.
