DEDDIE will continue with planned power outages in 11 areas of Attica today, Tuesday, July 16, as noted in a relevant update.
The municipalities in Attica that will be affected by the power outages are the following:

- Saint Dimitrios

- Nea Smyrni
- Lark
- Piraeus
- Salamis
- Laurel
- Bullets

According to the DEDDIE announcement, power outages are for maintenance, reinforcement or network upgrade projects, which require a temporary interruption in the electricity supply. The company notes that every effort is being made to make the re-electrification as short as possible, however, it advises consumers to be very careful, considering that the conductors are under tension during the planned duration of the outage.
What do we do in a scheduled power outage?
In such a situation it is important to follow some basic guidelines to protect ourselves and our home.
- We find out the cause of the outage by calling the electricity supplier or visiting their website.
- We check the electrical panel and make sure there is no blown fuse.
- We disconnect the devices from the socket, protecting them from possible damage.
- We take care of our food. If the power outage is long, we keep food in the fridge or freezer.
