MP: Dogan is actively involved in the trials, you will see him soon
The active DPS gathers in a meeting in a capital hotel to decide the future of the party and the parliamentary group.
Deputies excluded from the parliamentary group, municipal councilors and representatives of structures from all over the country arrive for the start of the meeting at 11:00. Honorary Chairman Ahmed Dogan will not attend.
“This meeting is being held at the request of the structures. There are structures from all over the country who ask questions about what is happening in the DPS and are here to express their support for the parliamentary group that supports the honorary chairman Dr. Ahmed Dogan,” explained the MP from Burgas Sevim Ali, who was also excluded from the group.
He explained that “almost all structures” will be at the meeting. And later, when asked by “24 Chasa” which structures are missing and whether those who were at the meeting with Delyan Peevski last week are here, he answered that all structures will be at the meeting.
Ali is one of the 17 deputies expelled from the parliamentary group after the meeting with Dogan in his palace in Rosenets. A total of 25 left the group.
“What happened with the removal of these 17 people’s representatives from the DPS parliamentary group, and before that they cited reasons that part of the structures wanted the resignations of these colleagues – through you, the media, I ask, what was the reason for their exclusion? This is an attack on democracy in Bulgaria,” Ali said.
Here are MPs Khairy Sadakov, Andrzej Jandev, Alizan Yahova, Valentin Tonchev, Timur Khalilov, as well as the co-chairman of the Youth DPS and MP Ibrahim Zaidenov.
Ahmed Dogan will not attend the meeting, but participated “actively in the processes in the party”. “You will see it very soon,” said MP Valentin Tonchev on the way down.
