American billionaire Elon Musk plans to allocate about $45 million monthly to the campaign of US presidential candidate Donald Trump. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) citing sources familiar with the matter, Day.Az reports citing Lenta.ru.
As the publication has learned, the recipient of the funds will be a political action committee called America PAC. Among other sponsors, the WSJ names co-founder of military software developer Palantir Technologies Joe Lonsdale, the heads of Gemini, twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and former US Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft.
Bloomberg previously reported that Elon Musk had made a donation to Republican Donald Trump’s election campaign. The size of the donation was not specified, but it was noted that “the sum is significant.”
