The Israeli biology team demonstrated impressive achievements at the International Olympiad held in Kazakhstan.

Teams from 81 countries took part in this prestigious competition, and the Israelis managed to stand out among the best young biologists on the planet.
The Israeli team returned home with two silver and two bronze medals, a significant achievement for the country. These medals were the result of intense preparation and the outstanding knowledge of the participants, who demonstrated a high level of understanding of biological sciences.
The International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2024 was held in Astana, Kazakhstan from July 7 to 14. This prestigious competition was attended by about 350 high school students from more than 80 countries, who competed in various disciplines such as biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, animal anatomy and physiology.
Extensive preparatory work was carried out to hold this event. Modern laboratory equipment was purchased and training camps for the national team were organized at the Daryn Center. During the Olympiad, master classes and seminars for teachers were also held, conducted by leading international scientists.
After the competition, all laboratory equipment was donated to specialized schools in Kazakhstan, which helped improve their educational programs.
