More than 8,000 applications per day are received for studies at one of ten Latvian universities

Of these, 6,409 or 76.43% were approved.

The University of Latvia (LU) has the most approved applications in all priorities – 14,943 applications. This is almost 4,000 applications more than the day before.

On the other hand, the number of approved applications at Riga Technical University (RTU) increased by almost 2,000 – 7,768 applications were approved by the end of the working week.

The number of approved applications with the first priority is much smaller in LU – 3374 applications. On the other hand, one of the study programs at RTU has been approved as the first priority by 1,557 prospective students.

566 priority applications have been approved at the Latvian University of Biosciences and Technologies (LBTU).

In the other seven Latvian universities, the number of approved applications with first priority does not exceed 500 applications.

As reported, on Tuesday ten universities started electronic application, which is taking place for the second year according to the new procedure.

Using the unified system, high school graduates will be able to apply for studies at the University of Latvia, Riga Technical University, Latvian University of Biosciences and Technologies, University of Banking, Daugavpils University, Rēzekne Academy of Technology, Vidzeme University, University of Information Systems Management, Ventspils University of Economics and Culture.

As usual, the competition in the unified admission will take place in two rounds. The results of the first round are expected on July 26 after 5 p.m., and the results of the second round – on July 30 after 5 p.m.
