The unusual phone reportedly belongs to a nuclear power plant worker. Apparently, he got a modified version of the iPhone 11.
This photo is not the only evidence of the existence of special iPhones for employees of specially protected facilities. For example, earlier, as Digital Trends writes, photos of an iPhone 7 Plus without a camera module circulated on the Internet. Enthusiasts noticed it in a used smartphone store in Dubai. The author of the photo claimed that the phone belonged to a military man.
According to discussion threads, Apple does not produce iPhones without cameras. The phones are purchased by private companies and modified in their own factories, where the cameras are physically removed and then custom cases without camera modules are installed. The buyers of these iPhones include the military, oil and gas companies, and educational institutions.
