The closing ceremony of this cultural event, which coincided with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, was marked by a great artistic evening during which the public and visitors were transported to musical universes that reflect the spirit of this edition.

The large audience that came to the concert hall in the city center was treated to a selection of songs and music during the evening, which began with the female group “Bnat El Ghiwane” who immersed the festival-goers in the “Ghiwane” repertoire by performing timeless songs such as “Siniya” and “Ghir khoudouni”.

Angolan singer and marimba player Té Macedo and her band also entertained the audience with Angolan heritage songs presented in an authentic musical setting.

The crowd went wild when Madih singer, Master Mohamed Baia took the stage with his powerful voice and suave Hassani accent.

The audience also admired the Gnawa performance of the young artist Asmaa Hamzaoui and her group “Bnat Timbouktou”, who plunged the audience into a deep state of trance thanks to the melodies of the guembri.

The evening ended with the local group “M’hamid Band”, who treated the audience to a set of songs restoring the local oral heritage in a contemporary musical form, where the words blend with the rhythms.

Earlier in the day, a symposium was organized on the theme “Sufism among the nomads of the Draa Valley through the arts of song” and a sand hockey exhibition match.

Since its inception in 2004, the International Nomads Festival has become a veritable nomadic cultural spring, catalyzing the expression, preservation and celebration of rich nomadic traditions.

This festival, which brings together nomadic communities, contributes to the economic development of the region and plays an essential unifying role, by creating a unique space for dialogue and exchanges between populations from diverse backgrounds.
