Police have registered a case against 40 AIADMK leaders, including former minister Jayakumar, for allegedly assaulting someone during a polling station in Chennai. According to a complaint lodged by Naresh from DMK at Thandayarpet police station, Jayakumar was booked in 6 sections and arrested.
Jayakumar was subsequently lodged in Poonamallee Jail and was transferred to Pulhal Jail yesterday. In this situation, Edappadi Palanisamy has met Jayakumar, a former minister who is lodged in the Tiruvallur Puhal jail. SB Velumani and Benjamin were present during the meeting.
