The 111th edition of the Tour de France ended on Sunday with a time trial stage, unlike in recent years when there was a triumphal ride to Paris, where the champion and his team celebrated the victory with champagne.
Stage 21 was a rather difficult stage, with a 33.7-kilometre time trial between Monaco and Nice. The route included a second-category mountain prize and some steep climbs.
The Colombians also shone
Colombian Harold Tejada took advantage of these climbs to shine in the final stage of the Tour de France and set a great time to complete a very difficult race.
Tejada was not in the experts’ predictions, but he surprised everyone by knocking Frenchman Lenny Martínez off the top spot and stopping the clock at 48 minutes and 14 seconds.
The Colombian from Astana positioned himself in first place in the stage, pending the arrival of the big favorites to win the stage. Egan Bernal, meanwhile, finished his participation with an outstanding time trial, finishing the race in 51 minutes and 43 seconds.
Santiago Buitrago also had a great stage and fulfilled the task. The Bahrain cyclist completed the split in 48 minutes and 17 seconds, and made a jump in the general classification.

Pogacar won again
The most striking fight began around midday in Colombia, with the departure of Belgian Remco Evenepoel, Danish Jonas Vingegaard and Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, who were the candidates to fight for victory.
Evenepoel tried his best to go for the win, Vingegaard could not take off his best performance, while Pogacar crushed all the times and was on track for another victory.
The battle lived up to its promise. Remco Evenepoel clocked 46 minutes and 38 seconds to temporarily take first place while his main rivals completed the test.
Vingegaard beat him to a time of 46 minutes and 27 seconds. However, both riders knew that a time-shattering machine was coming up behind them, looking for a sixth win.
The UAE Team rider stopped the clock at 45 minutes and 24 seconds to take the victory and seal the long-awaited Tour de France title, the third of his sporting career.
