• “What was proposed was that the price of gasoline would not increase in real terms, and not only did it not increase, but it was reduced,” said the president regarding his commitment that the price of gasoline would not increase during his term.
• Regarding premium gasoline, López Obrador explained that during Felipe Calderón’s six-year term this fuel increased by 5.7%, under Enrique Peña it rose by 46%, while during his administration it decreased by 6%.
• Diesel, President López Obrador explained, has decreased in price by 6.7%, while under former presidents Felipe Calderón it increased by 49.9% and under Enrique Peña 48.6%, while LP gas, according to the president, fell by 24.6% in this six-year term and under the PRI it rose by 28.9% and under the PAN it decreased by only 1.5%.
• “I was very pleased that this year (the next president) will begin the construction of trains and will begin the construction of one million homes per year, and that will help a lot, because the construction industry has a multiplier effect,” said President López Obrador.
• Next week, President López Obrador will send a letter to Donald Trump to explain the importance of migration and economic integration between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
