Vinod has adopted a realistic portrayal style without giving importance to mass masala scenes and supernatural action sequences. Especially the camera and action choreography in the racing scenes are noteworthy. The half hour before the pre-interval block gives the audience a great visual treat. The bus chasing shown in the movie trailer itself is extraordinary. Everyone who worked behind these scenes of extreme adventure deserves applause. The making incorporates live action scenes to minimize the possibilities of VFX.

As usual, Ajith is the main attraction. His character in Valimai has a passion for his life. He has done many bike stunt scenes without dupes. Karthikeyan’s performance as a villain is noteworthy. Malayalees Dinesh Prabhakar and Dhruvan will play important roles in the film. The other actors are Pelly Mani, Huma Qureshi, Sumitra, Raj Ayyappa and Chaitra Reddy. Nirav Shah’s cinematography adds to the strength of the film. The camera moves, especially in the chasing scenes, are felt by the audience on a Hollywood level. The music of Yuvan Shankar Raja also did justice to the film.


‘Valimai’, which arrives after a wait of two and a half years, is one hundred percent fair to the audience. The film manages to captivate the audience with its majestic action in the first half and family sentiments in the second half.
