The peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is moving in a positive direction.
As reported by Day.Az, Director of the Institute of Political Studies Sergey Markov told Trend about this on the sidelines of the Second Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic of “Exposing False Narratives: Fighting Disinformation.”
“It would probably be possible to sign a peace treaty at COP29 in November, but the Armenian leadership is hesitating.
They do not dare to make any amendments to the Constitution, which is absolutely necessary,” he added.
Further, Markov noted that the forum is of great importance.
“We are grateful to Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev for their contribution to the global development of humanity.
After all, it is the global problem that is being solved here. The global problem cannot be solved abstractly. We see that many media outlets around the world are turning into means of disinformation. Instead of uniting nations, they are setting nations at odds. A huge amount of fake news is being spread,” Markov said.
