News from Angola – The Angolan director KamyLara launched the Documentary “Fuckin’ Globo” last week, which shows the artistic movement that has been, since 2015, in the rooms of the Hotel Globo, located in Mutamba, in Luanda.

After its premiere on July 4, at the Geração 80 cultural center, Notícias de Angola learned, through a note that the film review covers the seven years of the existence of the “Fuckin’ Globo” project, starting in 2015, as a multidisciplinary art event.

According to the report, the film highlights the radical position of the creators and artists of Fuckin’Globo who, in recent years, have freely and enthusiastically addressed cultural, social and political themes, with works created specifically for the event.

At the end of 47 minutes, the note reads, the documentary emphasizes the relevance of the project, celebrating the collection, creativity and independence, as well as raising a labyrinth of innovation and freedom in the heart of Luanda.

Kiluanji Kia Henda, Tho Simões, Toy Boy, Mussunda Nzombo or Pamina Sebastião are some of the artists who tell, through their experience, the origin and evolution of Fuckin’Globo in the seven editions that have already taken place since 2015.

Kamy Lara has more than 10 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, demonstrating her flexibility between directing, editing and producing different cinematographic genres. He recently created his own independent film production company, UIKA FILMES, which aims to bring to life artistic projects with social and political significance.

In 2019, he released his first film, “Para Lá dos Meus Passos”, which was shown in about ten international festivals, and received more than five awards, including the Best Documentary Award at San Francisco Dance Film Festival 2020 (USA) and Best Documentary Award at DocLuanda 2022 (Angola).
