JAKARTA, Waspada.co.id – The assets belonging to suspect Harvey Moeis (HM) confiscated by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) in the tin mining corruption case in Bangka Belitung are estimated to reach hundreds of billions of rupiah. In the transfer of the case files that ensnared the husband of actress Sandra Dewi (SD), a number of assets were confiscated in various forms, from land and buildings, to luxury cars, as well as cash, and jewelry.

The case file of suspect Harvey was transferred by the investigative team of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) team at the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office (Kejari Jaksel) on Monday (22/7). Head of the Information and Law Center (Kapuspenkum) of the AGO, Harli Siregar, said that in addition to transferring responsibility for the suspect, investigators also handed over confiscated assets that were evidence to the JPU team.

The confiscated assets, said Harli, are evidence related to corruption and money laundering (TPPU) allegedly committed by Harvey. Harli said there are seven types of confiscated assets whose responsibility has been handed over to the Public Prosecutor. Among them are 11 plots of land and buildings spread across South Jakarta (Jaksel), West Jakarta (Jakbar), and Tangerang-Banten.

“Four plots of land and buildings are in the South Jakarta area, five plots of land and buildings are in West Jakarta, and two plots of land and buildings are in the Tangerang-Banten jurisdiction,” said Harli at the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office, Monday (22/7).

Harli did not explain the total area of the 11 plots of land and buildings. However, the Attorney General’s Office, last Monday (8/7), had released a total of five plots of land and buildings owned by Harvey in Kebayoran Baru-South Jakarta, and Grogol Utara-West Jakarta that were confiscated by Jampidsus covering an area of more than 1,000 square meters.

Harli continued, investigators also handed over responsibility for securing eight cars belonging to suspect Harvey that were confiscated by investigators to the Public Prosecutor.

The total value is estimated to reach between Rp20 billion and Rp40 billion. Among them are two Ferrari 458 Speciale 2015 sports cars, and Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, one Mercedes Benz AMG SLG GT racing sedan, one Porsche, one British sedan Rolls Royce Cullinan, and Mini Cooper, one Lexus RX300 SUV, and one Toyota Vellfire 2.5 G Minivan.

“The investigative team in the transfer of suspect HM’s case files also transferred confiscated evidence in the form of precious metals,” said Harli.

However, Harli also did not explain the type of precious metal, and the estimated value of the precious metal that was confiscated and submitted by investigators to the public prosecutor.

In addition to submitting the case files for suspect Harvey, Jampidsus investigators also submitted the case files for suspect Helena Lim (HLM).

If Harvey becomes a suspect related to his role as a representative of the ownership of the company PT Rafined Bangka Tin (RBT), and also the one who initiated the participation of four other companies, namely CV Venus Inti Perkasa (VIP), PT Tinindo Inter Nusa (TIN), PT Sariwiguna Bina Sentosa (SBS), and PT Stanindo Inti Perkasa (SIP). Helena, in this case was charged as a suspect as the Marketing Manager of PT Quantum Skyline Exchange (QSE) which was the distributor of illegal tin mining profits.

The distribution of profits from illegal tin mining, said Harli, was done as if it were CSR. From the results of calculating state losses, the corruption activities of illegal tin mining at the mining business permit (IUP) location of PT Timah Tbk reached IDR 300 trillion throughout 2015-2022. The value of the losses was mostly related to environmental and ecological damage, amounting to IDR 271 trillion. And from the suspect Helena, investigators confiscated six plots of land and buildings located in North Jakarta, as well as in Tangerang Regency-Banten.

“Of the six plots of land and buildings confiscated from suspect HLM, four are in North Jakarta and two plots are in Tangerang Regency,” said Harli.

In addition, investigators also handed over three confiscated cars from suspect Helena which were also handed over to the JPU team. Each unit is a Kijang Innova, Lexus UX300E, and Toyota Alphard Minivan. Investigators also confiscated 37 expensive branded bags, and 45 pieces of jewelry that were temporarily seized from suspect Helena to be used as evidence for corruption and TPPU in the case.

Still referring to the transfer of case files, Harli said, from the hands of suspect Helena, cash totaling Rp35 billion was also confiscated. The cash consisted of 2 million Singapore dollars or equivalent to Rp24.1 billion, and Rp10 billion, and Rp1.48 billion.

“Two expensive Richard Mile brand watches were also confiscated from suspect HLM,” said Harli.

The two suspects, Harvey and Helena, are part of a total of 23 people who were charged by Jampidsus investigators in connection with corruption in illegal tin mining at the PT Timah Tbk IUP location in the Bangka Belitung Islands.

Of the 23 suspects, one of them is a defendant in obstruction of justice or obstruction of investigation who has been submitted to trial.

Meanwhile, 22 other suspects are related to the main corruption case, and six are also charged with TPPU. Of all the main criminal suspects, 18 of them have been transferred to the JPU to be immediately brought to trial. Currently, there are four other suspects, whose investigation files are still being completed at Jampidsus. (wol/republika/mrz/d2)
