Olive Young announced on the 22nd that it signed a business agreement with DHL Korea to use the ‘GoGreen Plus’ service. The purpose is to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to reduce carbon emissions during the product delivery process.
The signing ceremony was held on the 19th at DHL Korea headquarters in Mapo-gu. Key officials, including CJ Olive Young SCM Manager Seo Jeong-ju and DHL Korea CEO Han Ji-heon, attended.
GoGreen Plus is an eco-friendly delivery service that DHL launched in June of last year. The key is to use SAF to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated during the logistics process. SAF refers to aviation fuel produced from non-fossil fuels that can be reused, such as waste cooking oil and plastic. It is known to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80% compared to general jet fuel.
Olive Young is planning to apply the GoGreen Plus service to products sold at the ‘Olive Young Global Mall’, which is serviced in over 150 countries around the world. This is in line with Olive Young’s ‘Beauty Cycle’ activity, which increases the recycling rate by reusing used cosmetic containers as new resources as part of Olive Young’s eco-friendly management.
An Olive Young official said, “This business agreement is intended to lead the eco-friendly logistics trend and actively participate in overcoming the climate crisis,” adding, “We plan to continue our efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the future.”
