The European Table Tennis Championships among juniors and youth continues in Malmö, Sweden.
İdman.biz reports that our tennis players compete in individual and doubles.
The tandem of Marziya Nurmatova and Aylin Askerova perform well in doubles competitions. Our athletes reached the 1/8 finals, defeating representatives of Germany in the 1/32 finals and the Czech Republic in the 1/16 finals. At this stage, our tennis players will meet the Romanian team, which is one of the main favorites of the competition.
Our team members continue to compete in both events. In individual competitions, Marziya Nurmatova, Aylin Askerova, Adil Akhmedzade, Rustam Gadzhily, Onur Guluzade and Yagmur Mammadli passed the group stage and reached the playoffs.
It should be noted that 12 of our athletes are participating in the European Championship in the U-15 and U-19 categories under the guidance of coaches Elnur Hidayatzade, Ramil Jafarov and Sabina Azizli. More than 40 countries are participating in the European Championship, which will end on July 21.
