Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, commenting on the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, said that this is not the first time that peace-minded politicians have been attacked recently, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.

The minister called the world “insane” where such things can happen. He stressed that in recent months, this is not the first time that politicians who advocate peace and are patriots have been attacked.

Szijjártó recalled that a similar assassination attempt took place in Hungary’s neighbor Slovakia, where Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was a peace activist and patriot, was seriously wounded.

Earlier, Republican member of the US House of Representatives Byron Donalds said that Trump had become more energetic after the assassination attempt on him.

Recall that the assassination attempt on Trump occurred on July 13 during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The politician was shot several times, after which he was taken off stage with a bloody ear and hospitalized. After receiving medical assistance, the former US president was discharged from the hospital.
