It has already been reported that on Friday evening a call was received to the Ventspils region, where, as the received information indicated, five people were drowning in the sea. Three people got out of the water under their own power, but two were pulled out by a person who called rescuers.
Medics and firefighters performed resuscitation measures on two people, but it was not possible to save their lives.
However, VUGD points out that the State Police is investigating the causes of death of the deceased, so it cannot be claimed that those found in the water died as a result of drowning.
VUGD reminds of the need to be careful when relaxing by the water. Reckless and reckless actions, as well as ignorance, often lead to tragic accidents.
The warmest months of the year are the time when most accidents occur on and near the water.
