/ Basra crude oil achieved slight weekly gains, with global oil prices recording gains after much fluctuation last week.
Basra Heavy crude closed its last session on Friday up $1.24 to $77.28, posting a slight weekly gain of 94 cents, or 1.23%.
Basra Medium crude closed its last session up $1.24 to $80.58, and also recorded slight weekly gains of $1.44, or 1.28%.
Oil prices have been volatile this week, partly due to a strong dollar that has hampered their progress, but they posted weekly gains of more than 1 percent by the end of the week, while U.S. crude rose about 3 percent.
