Almost two months ago, Jonathan Tah told the Leverkusen bosses that he wanted to move to FC Bayern. But now the move could fall through.
Will Jonathan Tah still play for Bayer Leverkusen next season? According to a report in “Sport Bild”, the upcoming transfer to FC Bayern is now in danger of falling through. The reason for this is a lack of agreement between the clubs.
Leverkusen rejected an initial offer of 18 million euros from the German record champions. This was followed by a conversation between Max Eberl and Simon Rolfes, but apparently the figures were not the issue, it was reported.
The champions of the past season see Tah’s value at 40 million euros – and are reluctant to deviate from that. The central defender, who was one of national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s regulars at the European Championships at home, came from Hamburger SV in 2015 for 9.5 million euros. On Sunday, Tah is expected back from his vacation for the start of the Leverkusen training camp in Donaueschingen.
