Wednesday, In the canton of Macará, in the province of Loja, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), through the District Directorate of Loja, delivered 56 Family Farming Cards (AFC). This document is provided by the Sub-secretariat of Family Farming of the MAG.

Augusta Correa, MAG District Director for Loja, said: “As a farmer, I deeply understand the difficulties we face in the field. It is crucial that we are united and associated to compete effectively against adverse weather, pests and market fluctuations. In addition, we are committed to health and the environment by producing in a healthy and responsible manner.”
“On behalf of MAG and the District Directorate of Loja, we express our sincere gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all our farmers. Let us continue working together towards a more prosperous and sustainable future for all,” said Correa.
All procedures for obtaining the card, from registration to acquisition, are completely free. Once the card is obtained, farmers can contact BanEcuador to take advantage of the “Super Rural Woman” credits, an initiative that strengthens the work of female farmers.
