Tehran announced that Iran’s capabilities in the field of nuclear technology were able to overcome the monopoly of this sector. Iranian Vice President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, spoke about the achievements of the nuclear industry in his country, and confirmed the existence of Iranian nuclear goods and services that break the monopoly in the global market.
Islami pointed out that 20% of the country’s electricity will be produced from nuclear power plants by 2041.
The Iranian official said in a media interview that “Iran’s capabilities in the field of nuclear technology have enabled it to overcome the monopoly of this sector, such that our services and products have become present in global markets, and now some of our products are being exported to several countries.”
“Given the production capacities and capabilities, we can export radiopharmaceuticals to all parts of the world, although the half-life of radiopharmaceuticals is short, and in this chain of operations, it is very important to have an aviation network that can deliver medicines on time,” he added.
He continued, “One of the five most reputable companies in the world in the field of radiopharmaceutical production is Pars Isotop Company, which is active in Iran. By opening a new center before the end of the year or a year from today at most, we will increase the production of radiopharmaceuticals by 5 to 7 times.”
He also pointed out that “Iran is now exporting the ‘heavy water’ produced in Iran and its derivatives abroad, and we decide how to sell these products, which is a fundamental and strategic point.”
According to the official, Iran achieved 100 percent self-sufficiency in manufacturing nuclear fuel cycle equipment before the end of last year (the Iranian year ended on March 19).
