“With great pain and dismay, we reported that, in the course of a police procedure, our municipal official, Mauricio Diaz, father of two childrendied after being run over and suffering serious injuries. We strongly condemn criminal activity which caused this tragedy for the entire Cisternian family,” he said in a post on social media.
“Our municipality is in mourning, very sad and heartbroken. Mauricio Díaz was an outstanding professional and much loved by all his colleagues. We extend our condolences to his family, loved ones and our beloved security team,” he concluded.
