Governor Durazo delivers free school uniforms in 68 municipalities

With 70 percent progress in the delivery of free school uniforms, it is guaranteed that elementary school students will have quality clothing for the 2024-2025 school year, reported Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño.

Currently, school uniform packages have been delivered to 68 municipalities in the state, the state leader said, thus ensuring timely and proper distribution throughout the state.

He recalled that in order to benefit 440 thousand students from 3,115 public preschool, primary and secondary schools in the state, the Government of Sonora invested 303 million pesos in this program for this new school year; and during his administration, more than 1,079 million pesos have been invested.

This Saturday, the distribution of school uniform packages in San Luis Río Colorado concluded, and in Cajeme it will be on July 25; meanwhile, in Nogales, the delivery will begin from July 22 to August 1, in Hermosillo from July 26 to August 10, in Huatabampo from August 2 to 7, and in Puerto Peñasco from August 2 to 7.

Parents and guardians are advised to pay attention to the information generated by the Secretariat of Education and Culture (SEC) through the official portal and social networks, where the time, place and date of delivery of the packages will be notified in a timely manner in the towns and municipalities where they have not yet been distributed.
