He also drew a comparison with the situation in Mexico, saying that if a war were to break out in that country, the United States would take on most of the work of resolving the conflict and would not turn to Germany for help.
Grenell also criticized the German government’s policy towards Donald Trump. He claims that the Nord Stream 2 project was one of the reasons why the war in Ukraine began. In his opinion, the German government did not listen to Trump’s warnings about the possible consequences of this project. Grenell expressed his desire for Germany to apologize for its actions in this context.
