BOLZANO. On July 17, 18, 19 and 22, the Carabinieri conducted five significant operationsreaffirming its continued commitment to fighting crime and maintaining public safety. These actions demonstrate the dedication and effectiveness of the military in dealing with emergency situations and preventing drug trafficking and other illicit activities.
On July 17, during a service aimed at preventing and repressing illicit drug trafficking in via Stazione, the military of the Operational Section reported a citizen of Moroccan origin. During the operation, a cellophane wrapper with the “Moussa” logo was found in the subject’s possession, containing 13.78 grams of hashishThe substance was promptly seized, pending analysis by the competent Narcotics Analysis Laboratory (LASS), and subsequently deposited at the Office of Corpi di Reato.
On July 18, in the early hours of the morning, the military of the Radiomobile Section carried out a check near the railway station, finding in the possession of a resident of Ostuni (BR) a dose of hashish with a total weight of 9.45 grams. Also in this case, the substance was seized and temporarily held at the command pending the LASS analyses. The administrative authorities were promptly informed of the discovery and the action taken.
Also on the evening of July 18, the military of the Radiomobile Section reported another citizen of Moroccan origin at liberty for violating the ban on returning to the municipality of Bolzano. On the orders of the Carabinieri Operations Centre, the officers intervened at a commercial establishment in via B. Buozzi, where the subject had been reported in a state of agitation. When checked, it emerged that he was in breach of the order banning him from returning to the municipality of Bolzano for four years, issued by the Police Commissioner on 11 June 2024. The Judicial Authority was promptly informed of the incident.
On July 19th, during the evening, the military of the Radiomobile Section reported another citizen of Moroccan origin, resident in Salorno, at liberty for the crimes ofaggravated theft and undue use and falsification of payment instruments other than cash. On the orders of the Carabinieri Operations Centre, the officers intervened in via della Rena for a suspicious person. Subjected to a check, the subject was found in possession of various documents and a ATM card stolen from inside a car. With the stolen ATM card, the subject had made transactions at various commercial establishments in the capital. Also in this case, the Judicial Authority was promptly informed of the discovery and the action taken.
Finally, this morning, at the Carabinieri station in Bolzano, a man was reported, identified as a resident of the city, accused of being responsible for the theft of a Ford Transit vehicle. The complaint was filed following the investigation conducted by the military, who concluded the investigation. The theft was reported on May 3, 2024. The owner of the vehicle, an entrepreneur residing in Laives, reported that the car, parked in via Riva del Garda between 12:45 and 1:45 pm, had been violated by unknown persons who had broken the passenger side window. A backpack containing two perfumes, a cell phone and an envelope with 14,000 euros in cash, intended for the purchase of fruit and vegetables for his business, had been stolen from the vehicle.
