Wahab Riaz was sacked as chief selector after the T20 World Cup. The selection committee of Wahab-Abdul Razzak was dissolved. Wahab criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) at that time. But he was not disappointed with the board. So the board is sending him to Maldives.

The intention is noble. Coaching workshop organized by ICC is going to be held in Maldives. And Wahab Riaz is being sent there to participate in it. This two-day workshop will be held on July 29 and 30 in Male.

In a statement, PCB said that the ICC has organized a high performance workshop in Maldives on July 29 and 30. Former Test cricketer Wahab Riaz and former cricketer Shahid Anwar (Head Coach of National Cricket Academy) will participate in this workshop.

This workshop will teach the latest coaching techniques. Besides, the technique of identifying and bringing up talented cricketers from the grass root level will also be taught.

This ICC workshop will be conducted by former Pakistan cricketer Iqbal Sikandar and former Bangladesh Test captain Aminul Islam Bulbul.
