Berlin – About 500 people gathered at the Brandenburg Gate on Thursday morning to protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They called for a quick and decisive response from the West – from tough economic sanctions to arms deliveries to military action. Ukrainians who have lived in Berlin for a long time, but also many Germans and Russians, who wanted to express their solidarity with Ukraine in this way – and with those Russians who are drawn into a war against their will.
