Valimai Review | Two-and-a-half year wait; Masai Ajith’s ‘Valimai’

by time news
‘Tala’ Ajith Kumar’s movie ‘Valimai’ has reached the audience about the end of the two and a half year wait. The film begins in Chennai with a gang of masked thieves on bikes and drug addicts. ‘Valimai’ is the answer to the question of whether Assistant Commissioner Arjun Kumar (Ajith), who comes to save Chennai from such problems, can save the city from the criminal gang.

The film is in the action thriller category. As seen in regular Tamil movies, the director plays the role of a super cop hero.

The film also reflects the interest shown by Tamil cinema in dealing with socially relevant issues. Throughout the film, the director underscores the misuse of drugs by the youth, the youth who remain unemployed despite their higher education qualifications and the neglect they face. The film accurately depicts the social and economic reasons behind the crimes.

Ajith is all set to play the role of Arjun Kumar as the director has done when the script is completed. Along with acting, he has performed action scenes and bike stunt scenes to the delight of the audience.

Through the film, Thala reiterates that he can still do conflict scenes well. Other actors have handled their roles in a way that goes along with Ajith’s naturalness.

Needless to say, conflict scenes are very important in an action movie. Action choreographer Dileep Subburayan has managed to create exciting fight scenes without tiring the audience. Another highlight of the film is Neerav Shah’s excellent cinematography, including bike chase scenes.

Even though the background music of Yuvan Shankar Raja is excellent, the songs in the film may make the audience tired of the story. The first half of the three – hour film is full of action scenes and the second half is full of emotional scenes.

The director concludes the film by emphasizing that instead of eliminating the culprit in order to eradicate crime, the conditions should be created for him to be repaired. Though the usual style of Tamil cinema continues, ‘Valimai’ can be seen without much fatigue.
